Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payments Operations Specialist to support high-volume transaction processing within a financial services environment. This role is focused on the back-end movement of money, including payment processing, transaction flow, and settlement activities. The ideal candidate will have experience within a bank, financial institution, or payment processor and thrive in a structured, high-volume, data-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage high-volume payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support end-to-end transaction flow, including settlement, acquiring, and movement of funds between banks and merchants
  • Own and manage daily processing queues, maintaining productivity and quality standards
  • Perform detailed data entry and validation across multiple systems
  • Support internal teams, including sales and account management, with backend operational tasks
  • Assist with onboarding new accounts, including setup and data processing
  • Review and resolve transaction discrepancies, including chargebacks and fraud-related items as needed
  • Adhere to compliance, risk, and operational procedures within a regulated financial environment


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience within a bank, financial institution, credit card company, or payment processor
  • Background in payments operations, transaction processing, or financial data entry
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume, repetitive processing work with strong attention to detail
  • Experience owning a workflow or queue in a production-based environment
  • Strong job stability and commitment to long-term employment
  • Comfortable working in a structured environment with mandatory overtime as needed


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in merchant services, payment processing, or transaction “rails”
  • Background in fraud, disputes, or chargeback processing
  • Experience supporting sales or account teams in a back-office capacity
  • Familiarity with customer onboarding and account setup processes
