Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and communicative Merchandise Assistant to support our buying office operations. This role is the primary point of contact between our retail store teams and the purchasing department, ensuring store teams have the information and product setup they need to seamlessly receive and process deliveries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable with data entry and back-office systems, and able to communicate clearly and efficiently across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain new product listings in the catalog and POS/back-office system, ensuring accurate item data, pricing, and digital assets.
• Serve as the day-to-day communication link between store teams and the buying office, fielding questions about purchase orders, COD purchases, delivery schedules, and product information.
• Research and retrieve PO details, order status, and delivery documentation to support store team inquiries.
• Coordinate with brand partners to chase down missing digital assets (images, product descriptions, spec sheets) needed for item setup.
• Ensure store teams have all necessary product information ahead of deliveries to support smooth intake.
• Maintain accurate records of new and existing items, updates, and open setup tasks (PO logs, payment logs, delivery trackers, etc.).

Qualifications:

• 0–1 years of experience in retail operations, buying office support, merchandising, or a related administrative role.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Advanced/intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency and ability to quickly learn new back-office and POS systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as this role serves as a bridge between teams.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail; comfortable managing repetitive data entry tasks accurately.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple open requests in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with retail POS or inventory management systems.
• Experience in the regulated cannabis industry.

Pay Range:

• $21/hr - $23/hr
