MEP Project Superintendent – Data Center (Traveling)

A national general contractor is seeking an experienced MEP Project Superintendent to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data center projects in Wisconsin, Virginia, Iowa and Oklahoma. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing project team delivering a data center campus builds up to $10B.
This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) experience who thrives in fast-paced, technically complex environments. You will play a key role in leading field operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field operations to ensure construction aligns with plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards
- Supervise subcontractors and field teams on complex mission critical projects
- Establish and maintain a strong safety culture on site
- Work closely with the Project Manager to manage schedule, budget, and staffing
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including two-week look-ahead plans
- Support procurement, buyout, and selection of key subcontractors
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve schedules, and enhance project quality
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation including submittals, daily logs, and closeout documentation
- Review and enforce contract terms, scope requirements, and project obligations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Required Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of field supervision or construction management experience
- Experience working in fast-paced construction environments
- Experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) systems and/or Data Center construction strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and manage subcontractors
- Previous experience working for a general contractor is preferred
