About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven MEP Superintendent to join our team in Virginia. This role plays a key part in delivering complex commercial construction projects by leading all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) field operations.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise and a track record of successfully coordinating MEP trades on fast-paced, ground-up or large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site MEP construction activities from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover
- Lead coordination between MEP subcontractors, field staff, and project management teams
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to identify conflicts and ensure constructability
- Drive schedule performance by planning and sequencing MEP installations effectively
- Conduct routine site walks to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems
- Identify and resolve field issues quickly to maintain project momentum
- Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with all local codes and regulations
Qualifications
- 7+ years of MEP construction experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Experience working for a General Contractor on commercial, healthcare, data center, or industrial projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex scopes of work
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing
- Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
