A well-established commercial contractor is seeking an MEP Estimator to support preconstruction and bidding efforts across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing projects. This is a hands-on role with strong visibility, working closely with project management and operations from bid through project kickoff.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial MEP projects
- Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to define scope
- Perform takeoffs and develop labor and material pricing
- Solicit and level subcontractor and vendor bids
- Identify risks, gaps, and cost-saving opportunities
- Support bid reviews and project handoff to operations
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of estimating experience in commercial MEP or mechanical construction
- 5+ years of field experience in commercial mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Experience with takeoff/estimating tools
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
