(ABHS) DEPA RTMENT – CLINICAL JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Mental Health Professional Job Type: Full-time/Hourly Reporting to: Clinical Supervisor Job Summary: A Mental Health Profession al is responsible fo r providing supp ort and treatment to patients with mental hea lth issues. They will assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress. The position requires strong commun ication and interpersonal skills, the ability to wor k independently and as part of a team, and the ability to manage time effectivel y. The role may involve working with patients fr om diverse b ackgrounds and with a range of men tal health conditions. Additionally, th e position may requ ire the ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations. Responsibilities: Conduct mental health a ssessments and create individualized treatment plans for clients. Provide individual and group th erapy sessions to clients. Monitor and document client progress in electronic ABHS records system. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary te am to provide coordina ted care to clients. Develop and facilitate psychoeducational gr oups to enhance clients’ coping skills. Participate in regular supervis ion and team meetings to ensu re high-quality care delivery. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed. Comply with all ethical and legal gu idelines, including HIPAA regulations. Qualifications: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology. Meet the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) requirements for an Agency Affiliated Counselor or highe r and Mental Health Professional (MHP) as per WAC 388- 877. Knowledge of evidence-based pr actices in mental health and substance abuse treatment. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication a nd interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards. Willingness to participat e in ongoing professional development and training.Physical Requirements:  Must be able to use computer, keyboar d and monitor for l ong periods of time. Work Environment:  The work environment is a healthcare facility that may include exposure to infectious materials, hazardous substances, and odors.  The noise level in the work environm ent is usually mo derate to loud.
