Lui is a men's sport-leisure brand based in Los Angeles. We make heritage-inspired sportswear designed for modern leisure — clothes that live in the space between athletic and everyday. We're a small, founder-led brand operating DTC, and everything we make is considered with commitments to quality + sustainability.

Role Description

We're looking for a Fashion Design Intern to join us for summer 2026. This is a hands-on role with real visibility into how a small brand develops product — you'll work directly with the Creative Director on active styles in sampling, fabric research, and technical documentation.

This is a good fit if you're looking for more than a support role. You'll have ownership over actual work that informs real decisions.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and refining tech packs for styles in development
• Fabric and trim research, sample requests, and materials organization
• Fit session support and revision tracking across samples
• Trend and competitive research filtered through a sport-leisure lens
• Mood boarding and seasonal direction support

This role is based in Los Angeles and requires in-person availability. Hours are flexible. Open to both paid candidates and students seeking college credit.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a fashion design or related program, or a recent graduate
• Foundational knowledge of garment construction and technical design
• Experience building or working with tech packs
• Familiarity with fabrics — how they're spec'd, how they perform, what questions to ask
• Self-directed with strong attention to detail
• Adobe Illustrator experience required
• Portfolio or work samples required with application
• Passion for fashion design, creative thinking, and attention to detail
