Men's Assistant Tops Designer

Los Angeles-based premium denim market leader, AG Adriano Goldschmied, is seeking

seeking an Assistant Designer to assist in the design and development of the Men’s Tops collection. The Assistant Designer will work closely with cross-functional partners in Tech Design, Pattern and Production on fit and costing ensuring the integrity of the product is maintained through the entire design/production process. The Assistant Designer will report to the Men's Senior Tops Designer and will work collaboratively with the current sportswear team. The Assistant Designer will assist in creating commercially viable designs and products that will align with the AG brand.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting in the design and development of the seasonal Men’s Tops line
• Assist in developing seasonal design trends and concepts specific to the Men’s Tops category consistent with the seasonal concept
• Work closely with our import factory assisting on the development of a well balanced Men’s Tops collection
• Set up styles in PLM system
• Issue sample requests & track from start to finish
• During seasonal development, review color throughout lab dip process to ensure desired color is achieved
• Complete all tasks according to corporate calendar. Must fully understand definition of each line item
• Accuracy and follow through in all aspects of the job are essential

Skills and Requirements:

• BA Degree from Art and Design college, major in Apparel Design
• Minimum of 1 years contemporary men’s and/or women’s wear design experience required
• Knowledge of woven fabrications, construction, and design
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as Excel
• Highly organized
• Ability to shoulder feedback and communicate effectively and directly
• Prefer passionate individual who will thrive in a fast-paced work environment
