Member Services Representative

Position Summary

The Member Services Representative serves as the frontline representative for members, delivering exceptional service and administrative support across a variety of banking functions. This role requires a welcoming personality, strong communication skills, and a mindset geared toward ownership, accountability, and problem‑solving. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in customer‑facing environments, embrace responsibility, and take initiative—especially when challenges arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Open, close, and maintain member accounts
• Assist members with Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
• Support legal account needs such as power of attorney, guardianships, conservatorships, and death claims
• Help members with home banking access and debit card setup
• Manage account inquiries, fraud issues, and service troubleshooting
• Answer member inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms
• Deliver consistent, friendly greetings and immediate acknowledgment to all members

• Process wire transfers, stop payments, travel notices, address changes, and check orders
• Provide administrative and clerical support to loan processing functions
• Prepare, assemble, and send loan packages
• Maintain organized filing systems and retrieve required documentation
• Communicate with members and internal teams in the absence of loan officers
• Update interest rate sheets and related system information
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• No Saturdays at this time
• One-hour lunch and one 15‑minute break (team‑managed)

Training & Onboarding

• On‑site branch training
• Initial onboarding includes paperwork and job shadowing
• Hands‑on, manager‑led training approach based on learning pace
• Online training platform available for regulatory and system education

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $47840.00/yr.
