Job Title: Melter

Responsibilities

• Load cocoa powder into melter machines according to production requirements.
• Lift and handle bags up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Use computer interface to monitor machine weights, temperatures, and performance.
• Document production data on paper or in the computer system.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment when issues arise.
• Conduct quality checks before, during, and after machine runs.
• Work in warm environments (up to 120°F during peak summer).
• Assist with general production and warehouse duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following food safety and quality guidelines.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine monitoring.
• Comfortable working in high-heat environments.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).

Position 1:

Open to 1st or 2nd shift

1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Position 2:

Open to 2nd or 3rd shift

2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

3rd Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50/hr.
