Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Medical Technologist (CLS), you will perform a wide range of complex laboratory proceduresacross various disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood banking, and urinalysis, adhering to established protocols and quality control standards.

Every day, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating countless patients, directly impacting their health and well-being. You will work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, challenging environment, leveraging your expertise to deliver precise, reliable results.

To be successful, you will analyze and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting. including:

  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all procedures and results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science, as defined by CLIA required.
  • California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License or Limited California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License required.
  • California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License required.
  • LA Fire card is required. (Must obtain within 90 days of hire date. Classes offered at the hospital) required.

Preferred:

  • California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist Licenses are required, and ASCP registry is preferred.
