Salary Range: $73,840 - $110,760

Job Profile Summary:
- Performs a variety of laboratory examinations and tests including specialized or experimental procedures assuring rapid and accurate results.
- Responsible for all technical aspects in the operation of special chemistry services to include training and competency assessment of lab technical staff.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oriented, trained, and assessed competency of new lab staff under Core Lab Manager supervision.
- Performed, reviewed, and reported laboratory tests in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Investigated abnormal and critical results, implementing corrective actions when required.
- Provided technical guidance to staff and supported workflow organization and productivity.
- Conducted annual competency checks and delivered training for employees and students.
- Assisted with performance evaluations, procedure updates, and implementation of new technologies.
- Managed inventory, troubleshot equipment/QC issues, and maintained effective team communication.
Education Required:
- Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university in Medical Laboratory Science leading to ASCP certification or equivalent as determined by the Professional Director.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT, AAB (AAB with 15yrs.experience), NCA, or HHS certification or equivalent.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a Hospital laboratory
- Minimum of 2 years working in Special Chemistry preferred.
