Medical Laboratory Technician (Generalist)

KEY RESPONSBILTIES

• Conduct laboratory tests and procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
• Ensure accurate and timely results by adhering to established practices and standards.
• Reports test results timely.
• Notifies provider of critical results and documents appropriately.
• Answers inquiries regarding test results, methodology, test specificity, and specific factors, which influence test results. Consults with supervisor or pathologists when needed.
• Assists with test method validation.
• Collaborate with medical staff and laboratory team to provide exemplary service and care.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working in either a laboratory Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified or accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
• Generalist certification as an MLT by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
