Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician to join a fast-paced, high-acuity urgent care environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable evaluating, diagnosing, stabilizing, and treating patients with moderate to high-acuity medical conditions while determining appropriate levels of care and disposition. This role is well-suited for physicians who thrive in dynamic clinical settings and possess strong procedural skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to manage complex cases independently


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients presenting with acute and urgent medical conditions.
  • Perform rapid assessments, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment planning
  • Interpret diagnostic studies including EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results.
  • Manage conditions such as chest pain, respiratory distress, severe infections, dehydration, orthopedic injuries, abdominal pain, allergic reactions, and neurological complaints.
  • Perform office-based procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, fracture management, abscess treatment, IV placement, and medication administration
  • Determine appropriate patient disposition, including discharge, observation, transfer, or emergency department referral.
  • Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.


Qualifications Required

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of residency training.
  • Emergency Medicine.
  • Family Medicine with urgent care/emergency experience.
  • Internal Medicine with acute care experience.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.


Preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute care settings.
  • Experience managing high-acuity patients independently.
  • Strong procedural and diagnostic skills.
  • Point-of-care ultrasound experience preferred.
