Title: Medical Director (Primary Care / Multi-Site Leadership)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-site)
Compensation: $360,000 – $425,000 + annual Bonus + Sign-On
Overview
We are seeking a mission-driven Medical Director to lead a multi-site outpatient team of ~40 providers across primary care and specialty services. This is a high-impact leadership role combining clinical care (30%) with strategic and operational oversight (70%).
You will play a key role in shaping care delivery, improving patient outcomes, and leading provider performance in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative leadership across multiple outpatient clinics
- Drive quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and performance metrics
- Oversee clinic operations, workflows, and clinical best practices
- Lead provider recruitment, onboarding, and retention
- Contribute to budget planning and operational efficiency
- Partner on EHR optimization and health technology initiatives
- Deliver direct patient care (30%), including telehealth and post-discharge care
- Act as a liaison between clinical teams and executive leadership
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds
- 5+ years of clinical leadership experience (Medical Director or similar)
- Experience overseeing 10+ providers
- Proven success with quality metrics, operations, and performance improvement
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Passion for serving diverse and underserved communities
