This is a benefited full-time position scheduled for 72 hours every two weeks. The shift is 12 hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., on varied days each week. Weekend and holiday availability is required. The position is located in Rancho Bernardo.

Your job duties:

  • Providing assistance with splinting, EKGs, POC, patient transport and patient care.
  • Facilitates patient throughput and flow, ensuring timely turnover of rooms, quality measures and increased patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
  • Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
  • Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice
  • Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
  • Collecting patient data in person and by phone
  • Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
  • Administering medications specifically directed by the physician

Requirements:

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
  • BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience:

  • One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting
  • Previous experience working in acute care setting, Urgent Care, Pediatric and/or Family Practice setting

Position Pay Range: $25.95-$32.56/hour
