Medical Assistant / Scheduler – Denton, TX

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Scheduler to join our Colon & Rectal medical office in Denton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing patient interaction with scheduling coordination and clinical support in a calm, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate surgeries efficiently, ensuring accurate communication with physicians and patients
  • Escort patients and prepare them for visits by recording vital signs, medical updates, and medication changes
  • Obtain and organize patient records prior to appointments or procedures
  • Prepare, stock, and disinfect exam and treatment rooms in accordance with protocols
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including documentation as needed
  • Answer patient calls and route inquiries appropriately
  • Communicate reschedules and no-shows to physicians
  • Support administrative functions such as chart prep, filing, faxing, and reception tasks
Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (required)
  • 2–3 years of experience as a scheduler and/or medical assistant
  • Experience using the Athena system
  • Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
