Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Fishkill, NY 12524
Duration: 37 Weeks with a strong possibility of further extension
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift
Shift Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, or 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Occasional Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Pay Range: $20-24/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits
• Return patient phone calls and address routine patient inquiries
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
• Update patient demographics, medical history, and documentation in the EMR
• Assist providers with patient flow and daily clinic operations
Required Qualifications:
• Medical office experience or experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical setting
• Basic computer and EMR proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
• Medical Assistant Certification (preferred but not required)
• Prior ambulatory care, outpatient clinic, or physician office experience
• Occasional travel to Poughkeepsie may be required for coverage needs
