Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Special Requests: - An interview may not be available prior to offer. - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. - Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. - Submission Limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. - Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. - RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. - RN jobs in Med-Surg/Tele are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. - RNs must pass a pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation on skills learned. They are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated. - Common patient population includes MedSurg/Tele cases such as joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, and failure to thrive. - RNs are required to titrate heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine. Common titratable and/or set rate drips include PCA pumps.
Required Skills/Experience: - RNs should have some tele awareness.
Shift & Scheduling: - 0630-1900, 1830-0700. Travelers will be scheduled. Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling. - Typically every other weekend, though additional coverage may be needed based on department demand. Schedules are posted 6 weeks in advance, with the manager making adjustments as needed. - Holiday requirements: 2-3 holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years.
Floating Requirements: - Float to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed.
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
1 Charge/Lead reference from within the last 12 months
1 Manager/Supervisor reference from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
