Overview
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director, the registered Medical Laboratory Technician must have a sound knowledge of Clinical Laboratory science. The employee shall have the ability to perform highly advanced technical and complex analytic work.
Qualifications
Minimum Education• Associates degree in a relevant science preferred.• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent registration or has completed a technician training program in a school accredited/approved by HHS or MLT eligible under Medicare laboratory regulations.
Minimum Work ExperienceFour months’ clinical laboratory internship preferred.
Required RegulationsAdhere to infection control policies and guidelines appropriate for their work area. Hand hygiene and PPE (job applicable) followed when appropriate.
Required Licenses/Certifications-Preferred MLT Certification
