General Summary Mectron Operators will be responsible for hi-tech quality assurance equipment that uses cameras, computers, and automatic measuring gauges to perform final inspections on a wide range of automotive components prior to them being shipped to the customers. Specific Duties,
Being on the job promptly for scheduled work hours
Turning on and staring up machines
Confirming workstations are prepared correctly for the day’s work
Maintain all production logs, downtime sheets, and other quality paperwork
Perform in-process quality inspections before and after part runs to ensure quality using various gaging techniques
Notify supervisors, quality control staff, and/or set-up technicians of any quality
issues, production concerns, or other issues keeping the job from getting done
Perform all work from written work instructions
Execute mechanical changeovers on vibratory bowls, rails, and Mectron equipment
Confirm initial manual inspections on each batch of parts
Other Duties and Responsibilities,
Cleaning/Mopping of work cell to maintain an organized and safe environment
Maintain visual management tools that communicate the status of machine schedule
Follow all quality standards and procedures
Adhere to company policies as described in the Employee Handbook

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Attention to detail
Sound Math Skills
Skilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, plug gages, thread gages, indicator gages, and comparator gages (or the ability to learn proper use)
Proficient in both verbal and written communication
Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, climb and carry up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day
