Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer

Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to design and develop electrical systems and wire harnesses for agricultural vehicles from concept through prototype and into production. You will work on a wide variety of projects, shaping your skills across controls, embedded programming, and user interface design, while collaborating closely with mechanical engineers and production teams. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on development, creative problem-solving, and seeing their designs come to life on real equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, wire, and debug electrical systems on agricultural vehicles
• Support field testing and validation of new machines and features
• Note taking and documentation
• Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and software teams to build fully integrated systems
• Document schematics, software logic, harnesses, and service procedures for internal and technician use
• Work with engineers and technicians to ensure proper implementation of designs.
• Wiring new prototype machines or machine updates

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar field
• Hands-on experience with automotive repair, electrical wiring, microcontrollers, or similar electronics projects
• Familiarity with agricultural, off-road, or heavy equipment a plus
• Hands-on skills: soldering, crimping, using multimeter
• Experience with Python, C++, or Ladder Logic
• Experience with CAD
• Understanding of state machines, PID control, and time-based scheduling in embedded systems
• Prior experience with harness design, manufacturing, or assembly

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yuba City, CA.

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Yuba City,CA.
