Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong technical and analytical capabilities to support the development of mechatronics systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in both prototype and production-level designs and a proven ability to deliver results efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop 3D mechanical models and 2D drawings for mechatronics systems using SolidWorks.
  • Perform mechanical tolerance stack-up analysis and related engineering calculations.
  • Create mechanical assemblies for electronics and automation systems.
  • Support rapid prototyping and production tooling processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Manage projects using Agile PLM tools and methodologies.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly through documentation and presentations.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
  • Experience with Agile PLM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies, electronics integration, and automation design.
  • Expertise in mechanical tolerance analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with rapid prototype tooling and production tooling.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of North Reading, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
