Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Line Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting machinery and equipment on the production floor and performing basic maintenance tasks. As the first line of maintenance, you will be responsible for addressing minor repairs and ensuring machinery runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on machinery.
• Conduct small repairs and make necessary adjustments to equipment.
• Test equipment, check sensors, and ensure proper functioning.
• Perform tooling repairs and complete tooling fixtures.
• Conduct daily machinery changeovers and verify proper operation through quality checks.
• Collaborate with various departments, showcasing strong communication skills.
• Handle minimal electrical tasks, such as changing low voltage sensors.
• Utilize hand tools for repairs and adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints as needed.
• Document daily activities and generate reports using a computer.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical aptitude, including roles like mechanic, process technician, or machine setup.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills for report writing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Vocational school graduate.
• Experience with hydraulics and mold machines.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays on a rotational basis.

Work Environment

Our work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with exposure to older machinery and typical manufacturing conditions such as noise and rubber smells. The facility is well-lit, and employees work in the automotive sector producing various parts. Shifts are available on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rotations, with training provided during the day shift. Saturdays are part of a rotating schedule, with no Sunday work required. Employees are encouraged to pick up additional shifts if desired.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bluffton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $23.14 - $25.84/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bluffton,OH.
