Equity Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a contract assignment supporting a leading energy industry client in Houston, TX.
This role will support the design and execution of large-scale facility projects, including turbine and electric motor-driven centrifugal compressor stations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, project execution, and industrial facility design.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support facility project development, scope definition, scheduling, and cost estimating.
- Manage engineering deliverables from third-party engineering firms.
- Review and approve technical drawings, reports, equipment specifications, and vendor proposals.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and corporate standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
Qualifications
- 7 years of progressive engineering and project management experience.
- Experience with large horsepower turbine and electric motor-driven centrifugal compressor stations required.
- Strong knowledge of industrial facility design and project execution.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
