Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for project scope development and detailed design related to equipment, processes, and safety improvements across multiple facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Design, size, and select process equipment including conveyors, condensers (air and water), ductwork, heat exchangers, piping systems, steam boilers, structures, tanks, valves, pumps, air scrubbing equipment, and cookers
* Develop project scope, budgets, and installation schedules
* Collaborate with internal Instrumentation & Controls, Automation, and Electrical teams to ensure accurate costing and adherence to company standards
* Work directly with internal and external resources for equipment sizing and system design
* Generate detailed equipment, motor, piping, and tie-in lists for CAD and installation teams
* Create and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, and perform heat and mass balance calculations
* Partner with mechanical installation teams to ensure all modifications during installation are documented and updated in CAD drawings for project closeout
* Communicate scope changes and provide technical solutions to process or installation challenges
* Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Highly organized with excellent time management skills
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Experience with process equipment installation or related industries is a plus
* Knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to perform general structural analysis preferred
Physical Demands
* Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch
* Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
* Regular use of hands and arms for reaching and handling
* Travel to plant locations required, including overnight stays (approximately 20–30% travel)

* Must be willing to live in or relocate to Cold Spring, Kentucky
