Mechanical Drafter

We’re hiring a Mechanical Drafter in Carbondale, PA, for a direct hire opportunity with a growing industrial manufacturer. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on design work, problem-solving, and seeing their drawings come to life on the production floor. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, providing a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in supporting manufacturing by creating detailed fabrication drawings and working closely with engineering, production, and customer teams.

• Create fabrication and shop drawings for industrial manufacturing projects
• Develop perforation patterns, tooling layouts, and material selections
• Interpret customer prints and ensure specs and tolerances are met
• Generate CAD files (PDF, DXF) for production and programming
• Support R&D and new product development efforts
• Maintain drawing history, tooling data, and engineering documentation
• Collaborate across teams to support production and customer satisfaction

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of drafting/design experience (AutoCAD or similar)
• 3+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Experience with sheet metal, tooling, and manufacturing processes
• Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams

Compensation & Benefits

• 💰 $50K–$55K base salary
