SolidWorks Modeling & Drafting: Create parametric parts, drawings, and complex/large assemblies, apply configurations, design tables, weldments, sheet‑metal, and surfacing features. Generate production drawings with GD&T and clear manufacturing notes.
Large‑Assembly Ownership: Build and maintain assemblies with thousands of components using Large Design Review, Lightweight & SpeedPak techniques, simplified reps, envelopes, display states, and performance profiling; drive stability and load‑time improvements for daily use by engineering and manufacturing.
PLM (Teamcenter): Manage ECR/ECO/ECN workflows, maintain EBOM/MBOM structures, revision/baseline control, effectivity, and release‑to‑manufacturing; coordinate Teamcenter integrations with downstream systems per program needs.
Design for Manufacturability & Quality: Execute tolerance stack‑ups, apply ASME Y14‑series GD&T, and incorporate DFM/DFA practices, resolve build issues with production, test, and quality. Support prototypes and incorporate test feedback into design updates.
Reviews & Compliance: Participate in design reviews ensure adherence to internal standards and applicable codes/requirements for the product line.
Required Qualifications
6+ years mechanical design with strong SolidWorks proficiency across parts, drawings, large assemblies, sheet‑metal, weldments, and configurations.
Certification is SolidWorks is preferred.
Demonstrated experience optimizing large assemblies (Large Design Review, Lightweight, SpeedPak, simplified geometry) in production environments.
