Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with a strong mechanical knowledge and experience. An automotive background is preferred, and experience in maintenance, wiring, and plumbing within the automotive sector is highly desirable. Familiarity with threading pipe using a machine, rotating pipe, and working with transmissions, flanges, and wrenches is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical installations and maintenance.
  • Utilize hand and power tools efficiently.
  • Thread pipes and rotate them using machines.
  • Work with transmissions, flanges, and wrenches.
  • Ensure proper wiring and plumbing in automotive settings.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with general labor tasks.
  • Knowledge in automotive maintenance and installation.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and on vehicles and tanks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with 2" black copper pipe.
  • Understanding of PTO's on transmissions and drive product pumps.
  • Ability to tighten bolts on flanges and pumps.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the automotive and propane fields.

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled, with exposure to hot and cold conditions. Protective coveralls are provided, and while steel-toed shoes are not required, closed-toed shoes are mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apex, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
