Mechanic

Job Title: Mechanic $29- $32/hr

Job Description - 1st Shift 7 am - 4:30 Mon- Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic to join our full-time team in Salina, KS, within the Services Department. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical aptitude with some training or experience. You will be trained to work on turbochargers while maintaining safety, a neat appearance, and good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble units by noting and photographing case positions and damaged components, ensuring the proximate cause of failure is determined.
• Clean and inspect units by tanking and pressure washing all cases, sandblasting components, and performing NDT on suspected damage.
• Prepare labor and parts quotations by noting repair labor and filling out replacement parts lists when necessary.
• Assemble units by priming, preparing, and inspecting all components, ensuring all repair labor is completed accurately.
• Prepare units for shipment by painting, plugging openings, and ensuring all installation gaskets are included.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly or heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for disassembly and reassembly tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Possess or obtain a forklift operator license and certification to operate overhead cranes.
• Experience with precision measuring tools like dial and ID mics, depth mics, and ball mics.
• Strong knowledge of drilling and production surface wellhead equipment.
• Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and equipment repair.
• Experience with hydro and nitrogen gas pressure testing.
