Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Various – must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $28.89-$53.01 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

Union Position: This position is part of the Local 6 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.

What will I be doing?

As an HVAC Mechanic, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality of facility including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Respond to guest calls and tam member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to correct temperature conditions and to make adjustments
  • Maintain, monitor, repair, conduct routine preventive maintenance and non-scheduled maintenance of all heating, ventilation and air condition equipment including, but not limited to, replacing mechanical seals, re-packing pumps and valves, replacing bearings and bets, checking for proper alignment, repairing fan coil units, brazing and soldering, calibrating controls, working on pressure vessels, replacing piping and fittings
  • Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
  • Conduct visual inspections of gauges, dials and mechanical equipment
  • Assist the Engineer in start-up, shut-down and operation of all heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of building electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Basic knowledge of reading blue prints
  • Have an active A35 to operate and maintain air compressors
  • Have an active F60 Fire Guard for torch operations
  • Have an active G60 Torch use of flammable gas
  • Have an active S12 Supervision of Sprinkler Systems Certificate
  • Have an active S13 Supervision of Standpipe System Certificate
