System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) is a critical function within the Missile Defense System (MDS) efforts supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). SE&I involves working collaboratively with the MDA Engineering team to plan, define, design, and test the integrated, layered architecture of the MDS. This system aims to provide multiple opportunities to intercept and destroy adversary missiles and their warheads before they reach their intended targets. The MDS architecture incorporates integrated and networked sensors from space, ground, and sea-based platforms for target detection and tracking, as well as Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications systems to link sensors and interceptor missiles. Additionally, it includes ground- and sea-based interceptor missiles designed to neutralize threats through kinetic collisions or explosive blast fragmentation.Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
