Union Plant - Must be flexible to work any shift

Career Opportunity
The Mulit-Craft Technician maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components, welding and machining a plus. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing for the unionized plant. Position will be on an off shift.
How you will impact WestRock:
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
- Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
- Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
- Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
- Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
- Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting. Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees.
- Performs other duties as required.
What you need to succeed:
- Working knowledge of 120 VAC, 208 VAC, 480 VAC three‑phase, 24 VAC, and 24 VDC electrical systems
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience, or 2 years of industry experience combined with applicable industrial electrical coursework
- Foundational knowledge of PLC‑based electrical and control systems
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or at least 1 year of electrical instrumentation and/or controls coursework with hands‑on application
- Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to perform work requiring a high degree of precision and adherence to tight tolerances
- Physical ability to climb overhead structures, work beneath machinery, and perform troubleshooting and repair tasks in confined spaces
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
- High school diploma or equivalent required

The starting rate is $39.62 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location.
