Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a dedicated Materials Coordinator to join their team. As a Materials Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the Supply Chain Department supporting the warehouse and inventory management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Materials Coordinator

Location: Novi, MI

Pay Range:$22+ Based on Experience

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

What's the Job?

  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records of stock items through inspection, counting, labeling, and locating received items.
  • Support the picking, inspecting, counting, labeling, packaging, and shipping of items routed from stocking locations.
  • Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in cycle count programs to verify inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and report findings.
  • Help distribute office supplies, deliver incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail, supporting overall warehouse operations.

What's Needed?

  • Experience with general warehousing and shop floor control processes.
  • Proficiency in performing inventory transactions and understanding material flow.
  • Skilled in using material handling equipment, including forklifts (certification preferred).
  • Basic understanding or experience with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and transaction logging.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate equipment safely.
