Warehouse Associate / Metal Processing Operator – 2nd Shift

Shift Schedule
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (may run as late as midnight)
  • Initial Training: First 2 weeks on 1st shift
  • Training Duration: 3–4 weeks
    • Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
    • Training covers materials, equipment, and safety certification before transitioning to the regular shift
Pay & Incentives
  • $20.50/hr after permanent hire
    • Includes a $2.00/hr attendance bonus
    • Bonus is earned by maintaining perfect attendance (no missed days or late arrivals)

Job Overview

This role supports warehouse and metal processing operations by accurately pulling, measuring, cutting, finishing, and packaging metal materials for customer orders. The position involves working with industrial equipment and learning a variety of metal types.

Training Program

  • Led by Marcus, Training Manager
  • Comprehensive hands-on training including:
    • Identification of different metal types
    • Operation of sit‑down forklifts and overhead cranes
    • Setup and operation of saw equipment
  • All employees are Alro‑certified, even if previously trained on similar equipment
  • Equipment operation training occurs during the final two weeks of training

Daily Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily team meetings to review shift expectations
  • Pull materials using a sit‑down forklift
  • Measure materials to ensure correct order selection
  • Set up and program saw equipment
  • Perform first cut and take full measurements to verify accuracy
  • Complete full order cutting
  • Deburr, clean, and package finished materials for shipment
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boca Raton, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.50/hr.
