JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Material Handler

JOB SUMMARY:

The Material Handler supports warehouse and production operations by receiving, storing, pulling, staging, packing, and shipping products in accordance with company SOPs. This role ensures accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments, verifies product against documentation, and maintains proper inventory control within the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The position requires strong attention to detail, basic math and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with computerized inventory systems and RF scanners. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate inventory and a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Receive, unload, sort, and scan inbound packages in accordance with company SOPs.
  • Verify product counts, codes, lot numbers, and documentation for accuracy.
  • Identify, label, and properly store materials and supplies; record inventory locations in the system.
  • Pull, verify, stage, and repackage orders from inventory for production or shipment.
  • Deliver and maintain in-process inventory at workstations as needed.
  • Process credit-return materials and restock appropriately.
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment by pulling, packing, labeling, crating, shrink-wrapping, loading, and securing product.
  • Utilize WMS/CRM systems, RF scanners, and carrier applications (e.g., UPS) to ensure accurate receiving and shipping transactions.
  • Stage pallets and assist with loading outbound shipments via pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift.
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform related duties to support overall warehouse operations.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in order fulfillment, preferred.
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with RF Scanners, preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Software.
  • Comfortable using a CRM for data entry purposes.
  • Dependable, reliable, detail orientated and able to follow SOPs.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends when required.
  • Forklift, Turret Truck, UPS, FedEx and Freight experience a plus.
  • Achieve and maintain productivity and error requirements
  • Must have clean background and pass drug screen
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record
  • Demonstrate ability to function, with a positive attitude, in a high-performance work team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach and bend for up to 8 hours a day, with breaks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Comfortable using wearing PPE.
