Purpose of the Role

The Material Coordinator supports smooth and timely product shipments by managing all shipping, receiving, and material‑handling activities in partnership with the Buyer. In this role, you will work closely with material handlers and work effectively with others to ensure materials flow efficiently through the facility to meet customer needs.

Shift: Monday – Thursday | 6:00AM – 4:00PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and prepare items for shipment, including coordinating scheduling truck pick-ups for all outbound products.

  • Enter accurate and timely data into the ERP system (inventory transfers, job card updates, scrap adjustments).

  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks safely and efficiently.

  • Move materials throughout the facility to support production and shipping needs.

  • Maintain shipping documentation and communicate regularly with Customer Service.

  • Support safety, 5S practices, inventory accuracy, and vendor receiving processes.

  • Perform monthly safety audits for packaging storage and Shipping/Receiving; oversee daily forklift checklists and safety protocols.

  • Lead monthly cycle counts for all plant materials.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 3 years of warehousing or material management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Internet applications.

  • Working knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and office equipment.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to guide Material Handlers and collaborate effectively with team members.

  • Well‑organized, with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in transactions and data reporting.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to obtain forklift certification (required). Company-provided training.

Compensation Information:

Hourly rate for this position is $22.00 to $25.90. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
