BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Business Consultant to support Medical Affairs Operations Excellence (MOE) within a leading pharmaceutical organization.

Location: Indianapolis/hybrid
This role plays a critical part in stabilizing and standardizing operational processes across Medical Education and Omnichannel initiatives. The consultant will enable efficient execution, improve cross-functional collaboration, and support the delivery of high-quality, compliant medical content
Key Responsibilities
Program & Operations Management
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution for assigned Medical Affairs teams
- Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time execution
- Track progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery
- Provide regular status updates and escalate critical risks to leadership
- Maintain and optimize project management tools and operational plans
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a liaison between Medical Affairs, Commercial teams, external agencies, and internal stakeholders
- Drive alignment across teams to ensure seamless execution of integrated plans
- Hold stakeholders accountable to agreed timelines and deliverables
- Support collaboration across multiple business units and functional groups
Regulatory & Review Process Management
- Manage Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR/MCA) review processes
- Coordinate global review workflows to ensure compliance and timely approvals
- Partner with creative agencies and internal teams to move content through approval systems
- Ensure quarterly review cycles and compliance requirements are met
Operational Excellence & Process Standardization
- Drive standardization of processes, tools, and workflows across teams
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and implement best practices
- Maintain integrated operational plans aligned to broader organizational goals
- Ensure data accuracy and quality across systems and reporting tools
Content & Omnichannel Strategy Support
- Support the development of integrated content strategies across Medical and Commercial teams
- Enable alignment from strategy through content planning and execution
- Identify opportunities for modular content reuse and cross-channel optimization
- Contribute to development of execution plans and best practice guidelines
Planning, Tools & Data Management
- Serve as a power user for capacity planning tools and workflow systems
- Manage content submissions and track progress through internal systems
- Partner with business unit project managers to capture financial data and forecasts
- Perform data quality checks and ensure accuracy of operational inputs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, or consulting
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated industries strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Medical Affairs or marketing operations workflows
