Manufacturing Supervisor

Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000
A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced, hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations in a fast-paced environment. The Manufacturing Supervisor will have a strong background in working with automated machinery and computerized equipment. This role is critical to maintaining safety, quality, and productivity while developing a high-performing production team.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities on a fixed 12-hour shift in a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This hands-on individual will provide strong floor leadership, support continuous improvement efforts, and ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of approximately 10–12 production associates and leads, providing hands-on leadership on the production floor
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while assigning daily tasks and monitoring workflow to maximize efficiency
- Assist with machine setup, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues to maintain safe and effective operations
- Monitor production output, scrap, and downtime to ensure shift performance targets are achieved
- Identify production inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Maintain product quality standards and accurate production documentation; promptly address defects or operational issues
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of production processes, industrial machinery, and safety standards
- Ability to work a fixed 12-hour day in a continuous (24/7) manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods during 12-hour shifts
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing setting
