Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Regulatory & Joining


Location: Warsaw, IN


We’re looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Regulatory & Joining to lead compliance, audits, and bonding process excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is critical in ensuring regulatory alignment, developing and validating bonding processes (glass, PP-GF, urethane), and driving a strong quality-first culture across operations. Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal audits (FMVSS, OSHA/EHS, etc.) and maintain audit readiness
  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear plant procedures and control plans
  • Develop and validate bonding processes (surface prep, cure times, environmental controls)
  • Own test methods like wet maps, peel/knife tests, and lap shear
  • Troubleshoot issues using 5-Why, 8D, and root cause analysis
  • Drive CAPA and partner with production, maintenance, and suppliers
  • Track and improve quality KPIs (FPY, rework, adhesion issues)
  • Support product safety initiatives and recall-related activities


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 3+ years in manufacturing quality, process engineering, or regulatory compliance
  • Experience with bonding/adhesives (glass, plastics, urethane)
  • Strong auditing and CAPA experience
  • Familiarity with automotive standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, FMVSS) preferred
  • Experience with SPC, MSA, and quality systems
  • Power BI or data visualization experience is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
