Job Summary:
  • Sr. Engineer, Grade B3 / B4, will report functionally to Solutions Engineering leader within FLMC at Emerson Innovation Center- Pune.  

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into compliant and feasible 

  • technical solutions. 

  • Understand products, applicable standards, regulations, and internal engineering rules. 

  • Understand customer expectations, Project / Work Scope, plan and deliver quality output / deliverables to meet the expected schedule and timeline 

  • Design cabinet, Panels etc including 3D CAD modelling & drawings, schematics. Ensure design comply with engineering best practices, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing constraints.

  • Prepare & maintain engineering documentation including bill of material for Pneumatics and Electrical controls.

  • Manage design changes and assess their impact and associated risks.

  • Should be able to work in Engineering Laboratory for Product & System Level Testing following Safety Practices & Guidelines

  • Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Sales and Applications teams)  and external customers to ensure solution feasibility. 

  • Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required.

  • Adherence to quality process. On-time delivery & Quality of the deliverables

  • Communicate and coordinate results with the team members 

  • Collaboratively work with other teams

  • Willingness to learn is critical 

  • Drive various organizational initiatives

  • Generate Project Metrics as per set Guidelines

 

WHO YOU ARE (Pls Mention KF)

  • Candidate will be able to translate integrated solutions into robust technical documentation, optimizing all design parameters required to define or modify customer solutions, including layouts, dimensions, pneumatic and electrical schematics, and implementation documentation             

     

For This Role, You Will Need
  • Minimum bachelor’s in mechanical / Mechatronics engineering 

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the field of Piping, Oil & Gas, Process Industry, Electro-Mechanical environment, Mechatronics, Robotic Automation Engineering or relevant discipline 

  • Software skills: Creo (Expert level), AutoCAD (Expert level), Microsoft office, shall know Windchill Practices. Knowledge of Eplan will be an added advantage.

  • Good Knowledge of application of valve islands, Air preparation units, logical accessories like flow restrictors, check valves, relief valves, AND-OR logic function, pressure switches, Time delay valve

  • Keywords: Solenoid Valve, Air Operated Valves, Filter-Regulator-Lubricator, Pneumatic circuit diagrams, Pneumatic Flow Diagrams, Pneumatic ISO Symbol

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, stamping, sheet metal, fabrication

  • Good knowledge of certification like UL, CSA, ATEX, IECEX, 3A, FDA

  • Working knowledge of flow calculations across fluid paths, simulation knowledge can be added advantage

  • Strong interpersonal skills and good team player

  • Good Lateral Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Respect for the company’s values and ethics

 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

  • Good Communication skills in Verbal English with neutral accent is desirable, knowledge of German language would be a plus

  • A willingness to learn is critical

  • Prior Working Experience in Global Engineering Environment is preferred
