Process Engineer – Manufacturing | 1st Shift
Location: Omaha, NE 76082
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Compensation: Up to $75,000 Base Salary + Annual Profit Sharing
Travel: Up to 20% to support multiple U.S. facilities

Overview
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support operations across multiple U.S. production facilities. This role is focused on developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes while improving efficiency, safety, quality, and overall plant performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer or Industrial Engineer with 3–5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys driving measurable operational improvements.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives that directly impact manufacturing performance.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. Sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and production methods
- Create and manage APQP documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Standard Work
- Perform process qualification and validation to ensure consistent, high-quality output
- Design and improve processes that meet OSHA safety standards and operational requirements
- Align production processes with customer demand, scheduling, and capacity planning
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Analyze production data to improve setup times, workflow efficiency, and operational output
- Support capital projects including cost justification, equipment selection, and implementation
- Lead equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and operator training efforts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, engineering, and leadership teams
- Communicate process improvements and gain stakeholder buy-in for implementation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field
OR
- 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing/process engineering experience in a production environment
Required Experience
- Process design, optimization, and continuous improvement
- APQP methodologies and documentation
- PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Standard Work
- Lean Manufacturing tools and initiatives
- Process validation and qualification
- Capital project support and equipment implementation
Preferred Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Experience working directly on the production floor with operations teams
