Manufacturing Operations Manager (Plant Manager - Polyurethane Manufacturing)

Iron Seal Company is a premier design and manufacturing company specializing in high-performance custom molded polyurethane components, primarily serving the oil & gas industry. We are a growing, hands-on operation focused on quality, speed, and continuous improvement.

We’re hiring a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to take full ownership of plant performance - production, quality, safety, and cost.

This is a senior, high-impact leadership role accountable for delivering measurable improvements in throughput, efficiency, and overall operational performance. You’ll lead from the floor, solve problems in real time, and build a high-accountability team.

• Full responsibility for production output, quality, safety, and cost performance
• Production planning & scheduling to meet delivery and customer expectations
• Shop leadership: lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams
• Process improvement & efficiency gains (lean, waste reduction, automation opportunities)
• Quality systems & standards to ensure consistent, high-performance output
• Plant cost control (labor, scrap, materials, overtime)
• Inventory management and material flow from raw input to finished goods
• Equipment performance & uptime, coordinating maintenance and vendors as needed
• Safety leadership, ensuring a clean, organized, OSHA-compliant environment

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive accountability on the shop floor
• Strong hands-on presence with a problem-solving, ownership mindset
• Experience with polyurethanes, elastomers, plastics, or chemical processing
• Understanding of production flow, scheduling, and operational metrics
• Experience managing cost drivers (COGS, labor, scrap, efficiency)
• Strong communication skills across shop floor and leadership levels

• Direct ownership of plant performance
• High visibility - reports directly to the President
