We are currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join a leading Metal Processing company based in Camden, SC. This role is responsible for leading the manufacturing engineering function, improving production processes, and managing a team of engineers and technicians within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


This is a full-time Manufacturing Manager opportunity offering a competitive salary of $120,000 - $135,000 per year plus bonus, along with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off and training and development.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and systems
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians within the engineering department
  • Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks impacting safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process, tooling, equipment, and quality issues
  • Oversee Tool Room operations to support production and engineering requirements
  • Lead APQP activities including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation
  • Analyze scrap, downtime, and process failures and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory standards, and customer requirements
  • Develop work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and operational reports
  • Support capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to improve manufacturing performance
  • Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence


Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Strong background in metal fabrication, welding, machining, or forming processes
  • Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams in manufacturing environments
  • Experience with continuous improvement and root cause analysis
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong communication and leadership skills


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in high-volume or mixed model manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as AWS, ASME, or ISO
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software
  • Familiarity with robotic or CNC programming
  • Project management certification (PMP) or equivalent experience
