Morales Professional Services is currently conducting a search for a General Manager & Site Leader for a well-known and respected manufacturing organization near Cordele, GA. This manufacturing leader will have full P&L responsibility and oversee all aspects of facility operations with 150 associates, ensuring the achievement of operational performance, profitability, safety, quality, and customer service objectives. This role provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for plant operations, continuous improvement initiatives, financial performance, employee development, and customer satisfaction in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all plant operations, including production/parts, maintenance, quality, engineering, safety, environmental compliance, and administration.
- Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments while directly supervising members of the plant leadership team to ensure achievement of operational and financial objectives.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost reduction.
- Oversee the development and execution of production schedules and production control processes to ensure timely customer delivery.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in manufacturing methods, systems, and processes to increase efficiency and product quality.
- Develop and execute plans for the optimal utilization of labor, materials, equipment, and capital resources to maximize profitability.
- Lead workforce development efforts, including coaching, succession planning, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate effectively with corporate leadership and shared services to leverage company resources and strengthen operational performance.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds while promoting superior housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
- Champion and lead facility-wide Continuous Improvement culture and initiatives.
- Provide strategic Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) leadership and actively lead EHS discussions and accountability efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management with a minimum of 10 – 15 years of demonstrated accomplishments in roles of increasing responsibility within a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 5 years in a senior management role. Other qualifications include:
- Strong business acumen. Experience reading and interpreting financial reports, budgets and operational dashboards. Strong analytical skills.
- Must exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to engage all employees, vendors, customers, and corporate leadership.
