What Drives Success

The Engineering Director is responsible for the manufacturing engineering and facilities of the Stuttgart site. This position is responsible for reviewing product designs for manufacturability, working to improve quality and ease of assembly, and supporting functions. Directs Manufacturing Engineering efforts to reduce costs of assembly and plant operations. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively. This position reports to the General Plant Manager, Stuttgart.

  • Direct the technical organization to ensure progress toward technical objectives, within budget and schedule guidelines.
  • Reviews product design for manufacturability and works to improve quality and ease of assembly support functions.
  • Direct Manufacturing Engineering efforts to reducethe costs of assembly and plant operations.
  • Ensure the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively.
  • Develop and manage capital budget.
  • Responsible for the preparation and management of all Engineering Departmental financial budgets
  • Responsible for departmental ISO and SOX requirements
  • Manages/oversees salaried and hourly personnel.
  • Provide hands-on project management and coordinate multiple projects with the leadership stakeholders.
  • Creates project plans, timelines, critical paths, and milestones. Perform cost-benefit evaluation for all assigned projects to define potential financial, business, and industry impacts of initiatives.
  • Advisor to senior leadership on the continuous improvement strategy and transformation to tactically deploy Lean transformation.

What We Are Looking For

  • Successful, 10+ year track record in large, single-site industrial manufacturing organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • HVAC experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and entrepreneurial, demonstrating a willingness for learning and improve.
  • Previous experience in strong Lean environments; Lean certification preferred.

Preferred:

  • Extensive experience in CAD, AutoCAD, or related design experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/plans.
  • SAP software experience.
  • Prior knowledge/experience with PLC’s.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $xx to $xx annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
