Manufacturing Engineer


Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will lead process development and production support for advanced aerospace and defense manufacturing programs, including complex assemblies such as canisters and launch systems. This role requires a versatile, hands-on engineer with broad experience across machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions for build-to-print components.
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities and support production ramp-up.
  • Support development of machined components and complex assemblies.
  • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), facility layouts, and assembly line layouts.
  • Drive Lean/Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and optimize workflow.
  • Serve as a hands-on technical resource across fabrication, welding, and machining operations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology with equivalent experience.
  • 7–12 years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace and/or defense environments.
  • Experience with machining, welding, and metal fabrication processes.
  • Strong skills in process development, BOM creation, and work instruction development.
  • Demonstrated Lean/Kaizen mindset with proven continuous improvement results.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder).
