Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. Utilize tools such as Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify opportunities for process enhancement and drive implementation of solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize process efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput while maintaining product quality standards.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through process optimization, automation, and material efficiency improvements.
- Work with the maintenance teams to reduce both planned and unplanned downtime for all production equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, including process parameters, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide training and support to production teams to ensure proper implementation of expected manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Lead new equipment and process launches network-wide and support cross-functional teams for successful planning and execution.
Professional Qualifications
- 3+ Years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a focus on production optimization and new process implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, processes, and technologies.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
- Strong project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive results.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace, automotive, or building products industries.
- Experience with SAP and PLC programming preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically as needed.
