Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to provide comprehensive support in production, process engineering, and quality management. The role involves hands-on engineering support for press brakes and laser cutting equipment, ensuring all processes meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on engineering support for press brakes and laser cutting equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, setup, and quality issues.
  • Maintain and improve work instructions, setup sheets, and SOPs.
  • Assist operators and supervisors with technical guidance and process improvements.
  • Create and maintain routings, BOMs, and process documentation.
  • Optimize laser cutting parameters and material utilization.
  • Improve press brake forming processes, tooling, and setups.
  • Identify and implement cost, quality, and throughput improvements.
  • Review customer drawings to support accurate quoting.
  • Develop labor, machine time, and material estimates.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance on competitive quotes.
  • Support launch of new fabrication jobs.
  • Validate processes through first-article and trial runs.
  • Ensure documentation, tooling, and programs are ready for production release.
  • Investigate nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a fabrication or metal manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with press brakes and laser cutting machines.

Work Environment

The position is set in a dynamic manufacturing environment, requiring hands-on interaction with machinery and equipment. The role involves collaboration across various departments, including Sales, Operations, and Finance, to ensure a seamless production process and competitive quoting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sheboygan, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
