Manufacturing EngineerActive Secret Clearance RequiredOnsite: Palmdale CAW2 Hourly Rate: $47.75 to $94.99* DOEGeoLogics is seeking qualified engineers for key roles within a Manufacturing Engineering Planning team in Palmdale. Are you looking for a great work/life balance? In this role, you'll work a 4/10 schedule and have 3 days off a week! Looking for stability? This W2 hourly contract is slated to last 12 months and has the potential to convert to full time.
In this role, you'll be responsible for creation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Bill of Material and Order Bill of Materials. Other day to day tasks will be to:
- Analyze engineering drawings, models, specifications, process, policies and procedures to determine and plan the practical operations and sequence, required to produce comprehensive work instructions and support documents to one or more groups.
- Collaborate with Designers and Production Engineers by interpreting and advising on engineering, tooling, and manufacturing requirements to produce and compliance check electronic work instructions along to include required revisions.
- Support management meetings, reviews and program reviews by documenting and tracking items to completion.
Qualifications required for success in this role include:
- Must be a US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret level clearance
- Minimum education and years of relevant experience: BS and 9+ years or MS and 7+ years
- Must be experienced in standard manufacturing planning process and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and other applicable references.
- Demonstrate a technical writing aptitude.
- Possess strong communication skills, organization, scheduling and time management skills.
- Hands on experience utilizing computer applications such as SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM along with model -based engineering systems; iBASEt, Teamcenter and 3DX.
- Teamcenter and/or SAP relevant to Bill of Material and/or Shop Floor Management (SFM) iBASEt (Solumina) and/or Computer Aided Production Planning (CAPP) and/or Shop Order Maintenance (SOM)
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning.
- Aviation manufacturing experience a plus
